OnGame Poker Network chooses to leave Spain
It is being reported that the Ongame Poker Network has chosen to no longer allow for players residing in Spain to play under its network of poker sites. OnGame only had been operating in Spain for 12 so this is rather a surprising move by OnGame’s part.
OnGame have yet to provide an official response to this decision however it is believed it is largely due to Paf choosing to no longer be part of the network operated by OnGame. That too was a surprise as the two had a long term partnership but that is no more as Paf has since chosen to join the Microgaming Poker Network.
Ongame for its part had boasted that it would see large improved in the untapped Spanish poker market. However Spain failed to deliver on the potential that was once believed and the results have been clearly felt. There was already stiff competition for the Spanish market so it is not that shocking to see traffic was limited after only 12 months of operation within this new emerging market.
