Channing Tatum To Play Gambit

Fox, the owners behind the X-Men Franchise revealed today that they will be making a standalone Gambit movie and that it will be starring Channing Tatum. This is by far one of the best news stories to come out of Fox for X-Men, even though their new X-Men movie “Days of Future Past” will be released within the next week the diehard fans of X-Men have wanted more standalone movies. As of right now the only character to receive a standalone movie is Wolverine.

When asked on how he felt about playing the role, Channing Tatum said: “I have always loved Gambit as a character. He is sarcastic but witty and when the going gets rough he gets series, during which he becomes one of the best mutants to ever be seen in the X-Men Franchise. I feel as if he is a normal version of Deadpool and I cannot wait to play him.”
Mr. Tatum continued by saying, “I’ve always been a fan of comic books and for the longest time I’ve wanted to play a true comic book character. I don’t count me being a part of the G.I Joe Series as being a comic book movie and so I am extremely excited to play Gambit.”

Fox didn’t reveal any more information regarding when the movie will begin filming, who else it will star or when the movie will be released. We suspect that Fox has yet to even begin creating the script for this new film, you can more than likely expect gambit to be released in 2016-2017
