New York Celebrity Poker Pro Given Probation

New York and Internet famous professional poker player Justin “Boosted” Smith has been given two years probation after he was found connected to an illegal gambling poker ring designed for celebrities only. He’ll have to spend three months in his home confined, twenty hours in community service and he’ll also have to pay out $500,000 dollars in fines. Justin “Boosted” Smith plead guilty to his role in the illegal gambling ring.

When Mr. Smith plead guilty to his actions it was towards a single count when he originally had three counts. He was accounted with being involved with an illegal gambling enterprise. He made a deal with the US Government which allowed for his two other charges.

Justin “Boosted” Smith only had a small minor role within the illegal poker ring. This ring would annually have high stakes game that involved well known individuals and several known celebrities as well. The court proved that Smith hustled a large amount of the money made through the gambling ring.

More than thirty people have now been connected to the poker ring which is believed to have made millions of dollars in revenue through different live poker and online poker games. They also would hold regular Sportsbetting events, allowing for them to bring in even more revenue.

All of the names of those who were arrested have yet to be released by New York. Those interested by this story patiently wait as the names of the celebrities are finally revealed.
